Food, Beverage, and Hospitality

Chef Andrea and her mother, Donna are building a fun, respectful, and inclusive team.

All employees will be part of the tip pool as we are a collaborative team.  All positions are responsible for running food, bussing the dining area, and putting away deliveries in their correct locations with necessary labeling.  A proactive work ethic is a must!


Once hired all employees are required to have their Food Handlers Certification, per the State of Illinois.

We will be open Wednesday-Saturday 8-8 and Sunday 10-6.

Open Positions

Line Cook 

18+ as you will be handling knives and a deli slicer.  

Culinary students are encouraged to apply!  

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Helping keep the kitchen and related areas clean and organized

  • Assisting with prep work

  • Support the dishwasher

Requirements

  • Can and will follow recipes and instructions

  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds, ideally 50 pounds



Dishwasher

During the week this will be an evening position and on the weekend we will have 2-3 shifts available each day.  

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly cleaning all of dishes and equipment that come through the dishpit

  • Manually scrub sheet trays, bins, and all other kitchen equipment; inspect for cleanliness and put away items in the appropriate locations

  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the dish area by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and rinsing garbage cans, cleaning the sink, wiping counters and equipment, and organizing shelves

Requirements

  • Be of legal working age or having obtained a work permit

  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds, ideally 50 pounds


Front of House/Counter Person

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting all customers

  • Working the counter

    • Taking orders

    • Explaining menu (food and beverage) items to our customers

    • Maintaining an up to date knowledge on our menus

    • Preparing beverages

  • Assisting in the dishpit as needed

  • Stocking and refreshing market shelves

Requirements

  • BASSET certification

  • 21+

  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds, ideally 50 pounds
